Big Pharma Disinformation Campaigns, Funding Denial Studies #206.

3

Businesses Like Big Pharma Uses This Tactic All The Time To Derail Opposition And Insure The Bottom Line. At The Expense Of The Individuals.

Oil companies will fund climate change denial data, Food companies will fund FDA reports with misinformation. Chemical companies will deny adverse health effects upon ecology and biology. And pharma companies will use case studies to deter you from using any product outside of what they’re selling. Especially if it comes from a natural easy to afford source.

Big Pharma Studies.

A study recently came out in a pharmacological journal. Notice the word pharma in there? Do you think they might be in support of a natural herbal remedy? They’re probably going to have ulterior motives. The article talked of the dangers of Kratom. An opioid alternative, that has helped innumerous amounts of people who were once addicted to pain killers kick their dependency. And this study had the gall to list a whopping four deaths have occurred while using this herbal plant supplement. Not knowing what else could have contributed to those deaths. Only four! Hell energy drinks cause more deaths.

Opioid Deaths.

Pharma Photo

How many lives have opioids taken just in the last year alone? 71,073 according to a recent survey. Four isn’t looking half bad after all for an alternative to pain mitigation. Furthermore, people are using Kratom to kick the habit of a drug that doctors and big pharma got them hooked on in the first place. And because it’s not classified as a class of drug, pharma can’t get their dirty hands on it and it can not be regulated by the food and drug administration. People can simply buy it at their local convenience store. Helping so many and possibly taking a profit away from pharma
in the process.

What We Can Do.

We always have to question what’s there to gain by a large corporation putting out a study with misinformation. Do you think they are actually looking out for the well-being of the people? Or might there be some form of financial motive involved? If they can prove something that sways supporters to their line of thinking. Than they can control the paradigm and I believe that is always the goal. Take these studies for what they are propaganda to push their own agenda.

Not Having Lucid Dreams #205.

The Art of Controlling Your Vivid Dreams.

Creating lucid dreams is somewhat of an art form. And it can help with all kinds minor mental disorders including depression and PTSD. Essentially it’s similar to what people do micro dosing psychedelics. But its all natural and anyone can do it with a little practice. It is no cure but it can open up new pathways of the mind. And take you to the most beautiful places one could ever see and it’s something only your mind can create.

Lucid dreams of New Zealand
Dream Of New Zealand

What Can You Dream Up?

Want to fly like superman? All the while hovering over lush tropical terrain, mountain valleys or incredible cityscapes one can literally only dream of? you can do that. Want to solve life problems? You can do that too, it’s a great method to teach you new ways of thinking. Just before you drift back to sleep ask for your answers. If your interested in repairing a damaged relationship say to yourself give me insight to this relationship. Often times it works and you’ll be presented with a dream where you 100 percent take the role of the other person. And you’ll get to see and feel how you treat them and how it affects them.

It’s pretty power stuff feeling the other persons emotions. Ask for answers in solving any problems. Thomas Edison used to fall asleep with a metal ball bearing in his hand and a metal plate on the floor. When he fell asleep his hand would relax and drop the weight making a loud sound and waking him. Immediately upon waking he would write all the ideas he came up with in that brief sleep period.

How To Have Lucid Dreams

So how to do this. I find the best method is the wake and move around one. Sometimes it’s not necessary to get up and move around. But it seems to be far more effective when in practice. First you will wake from your nightly sleep and get up and do some remedial task, nothing too strenuous. After a few minutes you go back to bed. Changing to a different place other then your bed also helps like a couch or recliner in another room.

Now as you try to go back to sleep you will repeat a mantra. I’ve heard numerous described so pick one that works best for you. You can say something like “I’m going to have an out of body experience.” Or “I’m going to realize I’m in a dream” you can try “mind awake, body asleep.” Just keep repeating the same sentence as you fall back asleep. Often times you’ll “awake” in your dream right where you went to sleep.

Figuring Out If It’s Lucid Dreams Or Reality

It can be hard to decipher you’re even in a dream. So, if you think you’re in a dream pick something to do that you could only do in a dream. My favorite is I walk through walls. It feels almost like walking through a thin sheet of water and not getting wet. And you will end up in a different room or outside wherever the other side of that wall lands. It works and you know for sure you’re in a dream.

Then it’s simply what you make of it. Get creative do whatever you want, it’s a blast. It’s helpful to get in touch with this part of the mind, you feel more in control of your entire world when you do. Give it a try and keep practicing it doesn’t always happen right away. All good things take a bit of work. Click here for more information Enjoy.

Contradictory Gratitude #204.

Gratitude with an Asterisks, Most of Us Are Doing It All Wrong.

There is an oversight to gratitude that we often go without seeing and that is our living contradictions to that of which we are grateful for. If you say I’m grateful for water, it’s a nourishment to life, it keeps me alive and well hydrated it makes the world a beautiful place. And then in turn you curse the rain for ruining your day or getting your hair wet. Then that becomes an immediate a contradiction to your gratitude. There are so many examples of this; thankful for the sun, it helps all the plants grow and the plants in turn feed us and contribute to earth’s beauty but then you complain about the heat or the over growth of trees in your yard, it conflicts with what you might say you’re grateful for.

Maybe you say to yourself that you’re grateful for your spouse, but than in turn, certain things about them you just can’t stand, that’s another conflict of interest. You are not thankful for them as a whole. You might be grateful for income but loath people who have even greater wealth than you. With that, you are directly going against the gratitude tide and it will hurt you especially if you want to get ahead yourself.

Differences In Gratitude.

Yes these are generalizations of a broad spectrum but that’s just the thing gratitude and disdain don’t live in the same realm. You’re either grateful for the entire array, or not. You may try to break it down to just it’s parts. But when it’s just the parts, you understand, you are not expressing true gratitude, gratitude as a whole. And that is where we shoot ourselves in the foot.

Picking and choosing some of what make things special to us is a losing battle. One that can eventually overwhelm your gratitude. Does this sound better I’m thankful for my spouse’s humor and affection but all the rest not so much? How long could that possibly last? What happens when they are not being funny or affectionate? That’s what we do when we break it down to the sum of its parts, we’re not truly grateful. We’re trying to play both sides of the coin and eventually it’s going to land on just one side. Be thankful for all that you have and all that comes with it.

Gratitude
Grateful

How I Practice Gratitude.

Thank you to the creators of all things and the energy in everything. Thank you for the sun and the trees for the water and the air I breathe. Thank you for all that I have and all that I’ll receive. Then go on to list all the immediate things you are grateful in your life currently. This is a great way to start every morning. Gratitude is powerful.

Making False Reviews Online #203.

A Woman In Australia Was Ordered To Pay $370,000 Plus Legal Fees To A Plastic Surgeon. She Made False Claims About in a Google Review.

Be sure to get your story straight when writing reviews, or it could cost you. Although this seems like a fair outcome from spreading false information about a business and costing that company clients. It does set a scary precedence for freedom of speech in Australia. Liberty is consistently being challenged all over the world. To think something as innocuous as an online review could have such ramifications. It’ll make you think twice before you go and drag someones name through the mud. And rightfully so.

Where Is The Line Drawn?

What I’m curious about is what if this woman didn’t make false claims but gave a negative review out of her own personal biases and it still cost this business money. Would she still be protected at that point? I would like to believe so, because that’s happening all over the internet. Reviews are endless, Amazon, Google, Yelp. Yelp is strictly reviews, so can every business in Australia start suing everyone for defamation that gave them a bad yelp review? Reviews keep industries honest. Take that away and bad business wins.

So where is the line drawn when it comes to defamation? And what is the media to do to protect themselves against these lawsuits? Write a disclaimer for every story that the claims in the article could be wrong? Seems like a logical albeit problematic approach. At that point, you really wouldn’t know what is true and what is false but it sounds like laws are forcing that hand. But to be on the safe side just review honestly.

Not Checking The Box and Moving On with Life’s Checklist #202.

Think Of Life As One Big Checklist, Each Accomplishment Is A Check. Make Your Check And Keep Moving Forward.

So why in life do most of us insist on checking the same boxes multiple times? Think of it this way, we all have this huge life checklist of all the things we want to accomplish while we’re here on earth. This checklist would have everything spouse, family, college, life’s work, inventions businesses, places to see. So since it’s so full with random goals, we have to break down this checklist into subcategories; dating/relationships, travel, employment, business, financial, etc.

Life Repeating The Past

Now as your going through your checklist so far. How often do you find yourself dating the same person just in a different skin? Or going on the exact same vacation every year? Working the same position in different industries or for different companies?

Maybe you like what you do and who you date and where you go. Maybe you’re simply a creature of habit and don’t want new experiences and just want that same routine every year. But by doing that we keep ourselves trapped in the mundane. We don’t strive for new goals. We also believe the checklist set for us by others, be it family members, or the media, is our own. So we all seem to follow a very similar path.

Moving Forward

It’s time to start saying, “screw it, I’ve been there, done that, now it’s time to move on.” If you’ve accomplished all things in a certain subcategory then push that category aside. Maybe you’ve traveled to every country in the world or you’ve checked all your boxes for dating. Move on to a different category, one with many vacant check marks where empty boxes lie.

Checklist

Maybe you haven’t scratched the surface in business or your financial goals are lacking, maybe you haven’t traveled anywhere yet. Take a break from the same accomplishments and focus on new ones. You will thank yourself that you did. And if you absolutely want to repeat something, go for it, just add new variety to it.

Defeatist Questions #201.

What Does Someone Do Who Doesn’t Want To See You Succeed But Doesn’t Want To Be Obvious About It?

Why they ask you a defeatist line of questioning of course. Trying to get in shape and lose weight. Someone might say to you, “are you sure you’re not losing too much weight too fast?” Start a business and watch those closest too you light you up with fear mongering questioning to defeat your ambition. Are you sure that’s a good idea? How will you pay your bills? What will your family do if you don’t succeed?

Designed To Stifle Growth

They want to stifle your growth with those questions, not help you. It’s an attempt to curb your progress to keep you safely in the dredges along side of them. Because sometimes misery loves company. And maybe it’s not even misery, maybe they think they are protecting the herd by keeping you safe within it’s confines. It may look like they are trying to look out for your own best interest. But anyone with a lick of intelligence has already asked themselves every possible question you could throw at them.

Questions

Ask Better Questions

It’s not helpful to ask questions that attempt to pull you down and these people should be called out on their passive aggressive defeatist line of questioning. Tell them to ask better questions, growth minded questions. What if I do succeed? What will I do then? How will your family look? What will your life be like when you hit that goal or that personal weight? Will you feel happier? Healthier? Will you be proud of the person in the mirror? Will you feel in line with who you truly are?

These are all questions that have to be contemplated if your are earnestly planning on reaching your goals. They’re growth oriented and yes they make you think strongly about your future path but they aren’t trying to keep you grounded in the past.

Getting Ahead

One of the last things you want to do is get to your goal and think now what. If you don’t have a proper contingency plan you might just feel like you need to go back and join the herd. Once you hit one milestone its time to plan for the next, and then the next and so on and so forth. Crush poor questioning dead in it’s track and correct those who ask them.

Not Journaling #200.

We All Go Through Pain, Trauma, Anxiousness, Failure, Set Backs. And For Most Of Us The Answer Is to Bottle It. Journaling Can Help.

But what if there was a way to relieve all those emotions, fears and worries? Lucky for you there is a scientifically proven strategy to help and it’s right here in front of you. Journaling or the act of writing in a journal has a profound effect on alleviating these harmful emotions. And it doesn’t have to just be a private journal you could write on a blog or a forum such as this.

This is why this site is here to help others grow and escape the shackles of emotional trauma. Also it does not necessarily have to be in writing form, if that isn’t your forte. You could speak it out in a number of ways. You could do an interview with me, you could record your voice speaking out about your troubles, you could talk to a therapist.

Journaling
Journal

The Journaling Release

It’s all about getting that emotional junk that is being held up inside you out. Releasing the blockage so that you can move forward and open yourself up to new more positive emotions. It doesn’t require that you share them with others either. You could simply open a word document in your computer. Write for twenty minutes a day for a few days about what’s troubling you. And then delete it, and still receive the many benefits. Although I will say when you share it. Your struggles could vastly help other individuals that might be going through the same or similar thing.

Condensing Your Thought Into Cohesive Writing

When I first started writing on blowing it. I had no idea where it would go but I found the process tremendously therapeutic. It’s very grounding to write out your thoughts. Then to take a step back from them and examine where you stand. Often times you will see that holding on to a particular stance or emotion is no longer serving you. And it might be time to move on from it. That’s just another one of the myriad of benefits writing or speaking about your emotional strife can do for you. So let it go, release all that energy that’s binding you to pain and negative emotion. And simply start a journal today.

All Things Are Conditional, Nothing Is Truly Unconditional #199

If You Believe Something Is Unconditional It’s Because You’ve Adapted To The Condition You’re In.

Change it and I assure you many emotions will diametrically rearrange. It might not feel so unconditional after all. Yes, we all love family unconditionally and I would argue that family is a condition we were born into. But have a family member lie, cheat, and steal from you. Or have them tell you they hate you enough times and leave never to return, those feelings of unconditional love may begin to waiver.

Challenges To Your Conditioning

You may love your spouse unconditionally or so that’s what you say. But have him leave the toilet set up one too many times. Or not take your side on certain issues. Worse yet, have him come home to tell you that he’s been sleeping with your sister and they’re in love and planning to eventually marry. That would challenge your unconditional love for both your spouse and your sister. The conditions you loved them both under, fundamentally changed for the worse and you now feel a different kind of strong emotion towards the both of them.

Unconditional Love

Some might say, “well I love Jesus, Buddha, God, Allah, Shiva (whatever your deity might be), unconditionally.” Well of course you do, they remain unchanging figures, the only way they change is in how you view them. They can’t actually do anything to you to cause you strife. If you blame them for some unforeseen hardships, the relationship than becomes conditional. And in that since you may end up cursing their names.

Why It’s Good To Have Conditions

We all want to believe that many things in our lives are unconditional. Love, trust, acceptance, devotion, respect. But we all have our biases, a construct of conditions that we can live with and those we can not.

How great it would be to receive all these things unconditionally but its the conditions that keep us in check, they keep us honest, they keep us from developing into a terrible human beings. If we received everything free without conditions we would value absolutely nothing. We could walk all over people with no regard for they’re feelings because their feelings wouldn’t matter, we know they’re unconditionally unchanging. Granted you you have to be a terrible person to take such advantage but you may be taught to do so if you keep messing up and you keep getting more chances. All I’m saying is we are all conditional beings and there is nothing wrong with that, it’s actually highly beneficial.

Buying Into Meat Alternatives Hype #198.

Meat Alternatives May Be Better For The Environment, And They May be Better For Your Health. But What If They’re Not?

Beyond Meats the meat alternative brand’s stock has risen over 500% since going public and it continues to grow as more and more food supplier purchase their goods. Beyond Meat is a non animal based “meat product.” So it has the taste, texture and feel of being a burger or sausage or any other plant based meat product they engineer next.

Can Our Bodies Even Digest Non-meat Meat?

But here lies the paradox. Digestion begins with sight, first you see your tasty burger and at that moment your body begins to produce enzymes to break down animal based meat proteins. And once your body is prepared to break down meat protein and you don’t introduce any. It’s going to throw your digestion all out of wack. Your body is still operating like meat is coming into your system.

Secondly, this has to be a highly processed product in order to get those correct textures, and flavors. We don’t really fully know what’s in this product. Yes it’s called plant based but that’s only the base. What other chemicals and foreign food additives are placed into this concoction to get it to that taste. I strongly doubt that this is a healthier alternative to actual organic free range pastured meat. Which has no additives yet is still very taxing on the human body.

Meat
Photo by Emerson Vieira on Unsplash

What’s The Answer?

Lastly the argument could be made that meat alternatives have a lower impact on the environment. Which could very well be true. We don’t have the numbers on that, but I imagine harvesting all the extra ingredients as well as deriving certain chemicals and additives takes it’s toll on the environment as well. So putting this all together there’s a simple solution, if you’re going plant based, eat plants.

The Selfish Act Of Having Children #197.

Unless You Truly Believe That The Children You Have Will Save The World. Or Cure an Incurable Disease. And You Do Everything In Your Power To Guide Them To That.

Otherwise the children you have created was from a self-centered focus. I know this may be a difficult pill to swallow. No one wants to believe they were acting in a purely egocentric manor. By committing the self-serving act of having a baby, or starting a family with the one they love. But it is a selfish act and there is nothing wrong with that, own it.

Children Are Consummate Consumers

Children are pure consumption for nearly the first 18 years of their lives. They produce absolutely nothing but waste and use up valuable resources. So why is it that most of us want them so bad at certain points in our life? It’s because they add so much to your life. And that is the point here, they add to YOUR life. They probably bring joy to others as well and hopefully they do but that was not the sole purpose in you having them.

Maybe you had your child because you thought it may give you meaning or purpose in life. Perhaps you had your child because it was written into your genetic code. That in order for a species or family to live on you must procreate. Is it possible you had your child out of unconditional love, both to give and to receive? Maybe you had your child to save you from something, be it yourself, drugs or a broken marriage. Many people try this tact, which is far more selfish. You now place that burden to carry you, upon your new addition to the family. I hate to say it but all these are selfish reasons.

What Was Your Reason For Having Children?

Children New Baby
Photo by Nynne Schrøder on Unsplash

Possibly you didn’t even mean to have your child. Which is highly selfish in it’s own right. Because you acted irresponsibly and now this child you brought into the world wasn’t even wanted in the first place. And you may choose to stay self centered and outsource that child’s upbringing to another. Those are the truly selfless, the ones who care for others children even when they didn’t create the life. The great step parents, foster parents, and adopting families. The teachers who care for their students 7 to 8 hours a day. It might not be completely altruistic. They get paid to do it but kids are difficult and they don’t always get paid enough.

I’m not trying to say it’s wrong to have kids or to want to have them. They very well could make this world a much better place. And a lot of children do just with their presence. It’s that very presence that drives us to have them in the first place and often times to have more. But just like giving is the selfish act of feeling good to help another. Having children falls into a similar category. It’s the selfish act of bringing yourself more joy and love and giving it in return.

Parents End Up Having To Become Selfless In The End.

The greatest mother I’ve ever known aside from my own, pointed out to me. The wanting and the having of children may be a selfish act but once they’re here they teach you to truly be selfless. Because raising a child is all about their needs while yours takes a back seat.
